Energy waste is happening all around us, everywhere we look, and contributing significantly to climate change. Fighting this invisible enemy seems almost impossible - unless we make it visible. Digital innovation, combined with the transition to greater electrification, could be the key to stopping climate change, allowing us to see and measure our impact so that we can recognize and reduce it.

Ironically, the adoption of digital is also one of the biggest obstacles to climate action: a certain confusion about what to invest in makes many companies look like “gray rhinos”. This is a term coined by Michelle Wucker to describe events that we can predict but do nothing to prevent - high probability, high impact risks that we recognize and assess, but ignore until they “explode”. On the other hand, to truly tackle climate change, company CEOs need to get actively involved and lead change - because we can only carry out major transformations with in-depth knowledge of what we are doing.
